Embrace January

Embrace January 2013

I hope you all had a happy new year’s eve! I spent the night celebrating with friends and the hubby. It was a fun, relaxing time, and the midnight kiss was pretty spectacular! :)

I have a lot of goals for this new year, and dedicating more time to blogging is a big one. I’ve got some really exciting things planned for the next few months. There are a few things you can look forward to seeing here at Nest Candy.

First, I am thrilled to tell you that I am taking the Blog Design Love class from one of my favorite blogs, A Beautiful Mess. With all my new design knowledge I will hopefully be making some much needed upgrades to the site.

Second, I am really excited to share my One Little Word for 2013 with you. If you’ve never heard of Ali Edwards’ One Little Word class, you can head over to Big Picture Classes to learn more. The basic idea is that you pick a word that describes your intentions for the year. A word that embodies what you hope to accomplish. I considered several words before settling on the word EMBRACE. I hope that in this year I am willing to embrace change, embrace the present, embrace positivity.

Along with the One Little Word challenge I will be working on a Project Life album. I hope to incorporate my word throughout my PL spreads. I will be posting photos of my album, and writing about my One Little Word experience, so check back for more in the future.

I will be starting a 365 challenge on Instagram today. I plan to roughly base it around the word EMBRACE and my daily life/home living etc. It’s nice that Project Life and the 365 challenge will prompt me to take more photos and to carry my camera with me more.

What are your resolutions for 2013?
