Lately I can’t seem to get enough copper. I love how it looks fantastic both brand new and shining as well as aged with patina. I have always been drawn to copper sinks and tubs like those above, and I could totally see myself having copper light fixtures in my home. I literally gasped out loud when I found the copper arrow ring. You can ask Sam, he was there. Collecting these images of copper reminded me just how versatile this beautiful material is.

  1. Thank you so much for posting about the Courtland Hotel in Fort Scott. I am originally from Fort Scott and will be staying there in May and have been a little nervous about this. I, too, like the creature comforts and this has not always been a cute, quaint little place. Was the bathroom decent too?

    P. S. I am also a card maker.

    • Hi Susan! The bathrooms were added to each room after the remodel. In the original hotel there was one bathroom at the top of the stairs for the whole building to share! They sacrificed some space in each of the rooms to fit in the personal accommodations, and I’m so glad they did. In our room there was a small vanity sink in the actual bedroom and a small shower stall and toilet behind a door. We did get to see other rooms while we were there that had a full shower/tub and toilet behind a door in the rooms. It was quite a cozy space, but we had no trouble with just the two of us. Thanks for the comment!
